Weddings: Tom & Colette

Let me just say … I honestly love weddings!!!
This lovely wedding was extra special to me because it just happened to be the nuptials of my son’s teacher since the age of 6 months.
I was so delighted when I got word Colette ( the Bride) was getting married. She is an amazing and caring teacher and equally amazing woman so I knew her groom had it the jackpot.

This wedding was packed with it's poignant moments, from the couples’ closest and dearest friends serenaded them and their guest during the ceremony to the oh so memorable garter toss and can't forget the groom and friends Redskin's chants during the toasts.  But seeing the bride so emotional moments before her walk down the aisle had to be by far my favorite moment of the evening.

Introducing Tom  & Colette

I had a ball getting to meet Colette’s family and newly formed family
I loved getting to capture sweet moments between the bride and her mother and the bride and her gorgeous daughters. These ladies are all incredible and my favorite thing about them is the love for laughter they all have.  I knew I loved this family once the jokes starting flowing.

Here are a few of my favorite moments from this beautiful wedding...

The stunning Bride and her beautiful mother

Daughters of the Bride

The atmosphere at the reception was filled with love and joy, a great time was had by all the guests and I was just elated to be a small part of Tom and Colette’s big day!!

Congratulations Tom & Colette! I wish you infinite years of a blessed union  & Thank you for allowing me to witness your celebration of love!

Love,

Weddings: Will & Tina Part II

The big day for Tina and Will couldn't have come on a more perfect day! A warm, but not too hot summer day was the backdrop for a very fun beach wedding.

Recipe for a fun and carefree beach wedding:

1. Ceremony on the beach side

2. Reception at a cool beach house

3. Time, sunset

4. Awesome bridal party & guests

I just adore this picture of Tina's bridesmaids. You can't see her here but she was being hidden from the groom in this picture.

Here she is hidden in-between her bridesmaids and looking beautiful.

If you can’t already tell from this couple previous session, I love sun flares. They add an extra element to my photos and being that the wedding took place right before sunset I couldn’t resist shooting into to sun to get these next shots, check out some of the attractive bridal party…

… And speaking of bridal parties, this bunch sure didn’t disappoint. Every single member of this wedding party held an extra special place in the hearts of the bride and groom. From one of Tina’s best friends officiating the ceremony to all the gorgeous children that played intricate roles in the ceremony and in the couples lives.

Oh and did I mention these guys sure know who to have a good time!! They had so much fun with the different poses. Living in the era of the “selfie’s”, “duck faces”, and “photo bombs” you can only imagine the silliness. These guys were up for anything, i had such a fun time with these awesome people.

And finally, the stars of the show; Will and Tina! I saved the best for last. These two love birds looked so perfect together on their big day. It goes without saying; Tina made a dashing bride and Will looked ever so stylish in his fedora.

I just want to end this post by saying congratulation again to Will & Tina and may your newly formed union bring you endless years of joy and fun overflowing with love and countless blessings.

All my love,

Rie`

Engagement: Will & Tina part I

One of my favorite things to do is shooting couples.  I adore capturing the love between two people and getting that special romantic moment frozen in time…

Lately, here where I live the weather has been monsoon like or at least it feels like it. This means constant reschuleding (no bueno)

I met this lovely family a few months ago and we finally decided to set a date for a last minute engagement session (and by last minute, I mean they are tying the knot on the 31st of this month) but due to the monsoon like (I exaggerate) conditions it had been nearly impossible to shoot. Luckily this past Wednesday the rain Gods graciously gave us a break and we fully took advantage and I am glad we did because the end result was stunning…

Here is Will & Tina (featuring Serenity) part I
I must admit I was a little apprehensive going into this shoot, I was concerned with losing the light and the possibility of getting rained out again. But with shooting later in the evening come some advantages; beautiful sunsets and striking silhouettes, and with Will & Tina as my subjects the photos couldn’t have been more gorgeous!

These two love birds were so enamored with each other that Will didn’t miss any opportunity to steal a kiss from his soon-to-be bride.

This lovely little lady is Serenity, Tina’s daughter. We knew prior to shooting that we wanted to incorporate her in their engagement pictures is some way. I made her the heart of this couples love (she already is) Serenity is the sweetest little girl and loves her soon -to- be dad very much and absolutely loves to take pictures.
She ended up giving me ideas for poses and she made one HECK of a good assistant (Thanks Serenity!)

This was one of the last shots of the night; I love the casual carefree vibe of this photo (not to mention the sky) what an awesome way to wrap our session.

I am so excited to see this family become ONE {stay tuned for part two} it will be so special to see Serenity walk her mommy  down the aisle, but I can’t wait to capture Will’s face when he sees his beautiful bride coming down the aisle.

Congratulations guys!!
Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of you’re special moment.
