Snow Day! { January 29th & 30th 2014 }

Let me start by saying that although I live in east coast, where I live in particular we rarely get snow.
We’ve literally had 2 snow “storms” hit our area within the last 2 weeks. So besides having time off work (which is always a plus) I had an opportunity to take some photos in the snow.
The city was preparing for more snow inches than it could handle, so in turn we prepared too.
Other than the mom essentials (lol) we were ready to for our staycation. As the snow fell through the night we were all wondering how much we’d wake up to. In some areas we almost hit a foot snow ( I know , I know some of you might live in place that consider a foot of snow a mild winter, but that is huge for us lol) Nothing compares to waking up to an ordinary condo complex turned majestic winter wonderland.

...but he was warm and had fun, and thats all that matters
After a hearty  breakfast there was nothing  more my son wanted to do than go outside    (insert picture of slightly crazy overly protective moms kid here)

My son and husband had such a fun time playing in the snow, it was just so cute seeing a kids excitement and a grown kid too. the funniest part to me was the slight temper tantrum my son had once we were all ready to come in. He had a legit cross the arms and sit down in the snow, I’m not getting up moment , but I quickly realized that a warm cup of hot coco fixes everything (lol)

Here are a few shots from Wednesday and Thursday snow day fun w/ daddy…

Just by looking at the photos you can see the difference in temperature between day one and day two.

Sometimes I forget I married the sexiest man alive

can't forget Beanie

Happy Friday everyone! As for me I’m back at work with a possibility  of working on the weekend to catch up on missed work form the snow days ( working mom problems lol) while both my son and husband are enjoying yet another day off.

thanks for stoping by,
Rie`

Lifestyle: Mother/Daughter, Shenell & Shenya

It seems like a reoccurring theme with the start of all my posts. I constantly say “this was my favorite shoot” but I can’t emphasize this enough this time. I am so in LOVE with this mother-daughter shoot, it has to me one of my favorite to date!

I had the total pleasure of getting to photograph Shenell & She`nya for their Christmas card and boy did we have a blast.  I had been really wanting to take pictures at a specific location I see every day during my drive home from work. So I had Shenell meet me there. Now, I was a bit apprehensive because there is a big ole sign that does say no trespassing but luckily Shenell is as adventurous as me so we broke the rules (lol)
Everything was going so well until the police showed up and reminded us of the no trespassing sign we might of forgot to see on the way in lol. Once the officers found out what we were doing there were actually very sweet. It also didn’t hurt we had the most gorgeous 7 year with us.

There are no words that can even begin to describe the love a mother has for her child. Shenell  and She`nya’s relationship show that love to the highest degree.

Here is She`nya’s mommy & Shenell’s baby girl…

WERK!!!

i just love this fun carefree shot

LOVE!

Now, can we talk about how stunning this child is! Not only is she beautiful outside, this little lady is the beautiful on the inside were it matters ( moms take note, Shenell is raising this child right)
Any casting directors out there better snag this girl up before it’s too late !!

Thank you Shenell for allowing me to capture the bond you share with your beautiful!
